Union relations
Employees (excluding those in management positions) of G-net Corporation, part of the UNISOL Group, have formed a workers’ union. As of December 31, 2024, 286 employees are members of the union, which is not affiliated with any umbrella group.
Unions have not been established at Maruka Furusato Corporation or our other consolidated subsidiaries, and we have encountered no issues of note in our labor-management relations.
Retirement benefits systems
Our consolidated subsidiaries have adopted a range of schemes available in Japan. Their defined benefit plans primarily follow the contract-type defined-benefit corporate pension system or the retirement lump-sum system, while available defined-contribution plans chiefly use the defined-contribution pension system, the smaller enterprise retirement allowance mutual aid system, or a specific retirement allowance mutual aid system.
Employee stock incentive plan
As part of our investment in human capital in the aim of sustainably increasing the UNISOL Group’s corporate value, Maruka Furusato Corporation has introduced a stock incentive plan. Through this scheme, we aim both to incentivize our employees to increase corporate value and to foster their sense of participating in the operation of our business.
This scheme adopts a framework known as the Stock-Granting Employee Stock Ownership Plan Trust (ESOP Trust). An ESOP Trust is an employee incentive program based on ESOP plans in use in the United States. The ESOP Trust acquires Company stock, which is granted in line with predetermined terms to employees who fulfill certain conditions. Employees are not responsible for the costs of acquiring the Company stock owned by the trust, which are covered in full by Maruka Furusato Corporation.
