Overview of our initiatives to promote DX

A corporate group formed in 2021, the UNISOL Group (Maruka Furusato Corporation) strives to provide its customers with optimum value and realize its vision of “Towards a world overflowing with ‘I want to make this happen!’” To do this, we are making efforts to strengthen our existing business and create new business, utilizing synergies arising from the integration of the Group’s member companies and with the use of digital technologies as a central component. We have also been working to enhance our workplaces in order to create more pleasant working environments for our employees.

At the same time, as market conditions become more complex from year to year and our customers’ needs continuously diversify, we recognize that we must shift our business and company culture more quickly than ever before in order to retain our ability to respond to these challenges in our role as a “solution partner.” To achieve these changes with urgency, it is essential that we further promote the use of digital technologies and engage in the reform described as “digital transformation” (DX). The UNISOL Group has therefore formulated several DX promotion strategies in line with our Group philosophy and numerical targets.

The UNISOL Group has been particularly engaged in reforms that involve actors both within and beyond the Group. We have therefore shared our DX promotion strategies with all of our stakeholders and will continue to bring together each area of our business and all of our employees in the shared aim of delivering new value to our customers and wider society.

DX: fundamental concepts and strategies

Fundamental concepts informing the UNISOL Group’s DX strategies

  • Establishing DX strategies aiming toward what we aspire to be, and formulating and promoting various measures to achieve these strategies
    Formulating and promoting each of our strategies with our Group philosophy in mind and based on shared principles of conduct

DX measures

  • We have formulated six DX measures designed to achieve each of the strategies set out in our description of the fundamental concepts informing the UNISOL Group’s DX strategies
  • With human resource training and developing infrastructure and digitalization laid as the groundwork from which to trace our growth, we will promote AI utilization, smart factories, applications, and data analysis to increase our value as “solution partners”

AI utilization

  • Optimization based on various demand forecasts
  • Creation of an environment where AI assistants are present for all employees

Smart factories

  • Development of monitoring solutions using IoT know-how
  • Collaboration with vendors to automate and reduce labor

Applications

  • Increased speed of problem-solving by deploying no-code development tools in the field
  • Streamlining of operations and development by introducing an ERP package

Data analysis

  • Utilization of a data integration platform shared with companies beyond the Group
  • Support for decision-making using BI tools
  • Support for new business development by utilizing our user database

Human resource training

  • Knowledge and technology acquisition support for on-site personnel
  • Implementation of DX literacy education for all employees in addition to existing IT literacy education

  • Ongoing digitalization of operations and optimization of processes, and realization of diverse work styles through the use of digital technology
