Everyone has hopes and dreams, a vision of the tomorrow we hope to make happen. The UNISOL Group is determined to continue driving the changes we need to solve challenges and create the future that holds that promise. This commitment is encapsulated in our vision: “Towards a world overflowing with ‘I want to make this happen!’”

Today, social and environmental issues are becoming increasingly complex in nature, and our customers and wider society face a diversifying range of challenges. Against the backdrop of these developments, the UNISOL Group wants not only to respond to society’s needs but to exceed its expectations, and we have therefore set out our Basic Policy on Sustainability. We will continue to advance toward a sustainable future alongside our stakeholders.

Currently, we are moving forward with action on our materialities (priority issues), in tandem with our ongoing Medium-Term Management Plan, which will conclude in the fiscal year ending December 2026. One of these materialities is reducing environmental impacts in our business activities. In response to this, we are implementing measures to reduce the UNISOL Group’s greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 21.2% by the fiscal year ending December 2026 (as compared to the fiscal year ended December 2022). Initiatives we are currently advancing include a switch to green vehicles and adoption of renewable energies, and we estimate that the measures we already have in place take us to approximately 60% of our target. We will continue various actions aimed at achieving our target going forward.

As part of our corporate social responsibility, meanwhile, we have formulated a Sustainable Procurement Policy, and we set a UNISOL Group Human Rights Policy in the fiscal year ended December 2024. We will move forward with action points on the basis of these Policies, aiming to create safe and secure supply chains.
For our employees, too, the UNISOL Group wants to be a workplace that inspires work motivation, allows a true sense of growth, and facilitates self-fulfillment. As part of our efforts to create working environments where our employees’ diverse values and backgrounds are respected and where they can positively demonstrate their own individuality and strengths, we have begun expanding the period over which employees can utilize our reduced working hours program, to help them more easily balance work and childcare. We are also promoting health management aimed at energizing our employees and improving productivity, using employee engagement surveys to visualize organizational issues, actively recruiting international employees in order to incorporate a more global perspective than ever before, and more.

We believe that one of the foundational cornerstones of management underpinning the advancement of these sustainability initiatives is governance. We abide by domestic and international laws and regulations, as well as our own code of conduct, and ensure compliance with a strong sense of ethics. In addition, in order to understand, analyze, and appropriately manage risk, the UNISOL Group has developed risk management systems based on the Three Lines of Defense model and implements risk management activities principally through a Risk Control Committee, working to continually improve the effectiveness of these initiatives.

We consider our sustainability initiatives as a means to take on complex and diverse challenges. To meet these challenges, the support of our stakeholders is indispensable, from our customers and suppliers to the members of the communities in which we operate, our investors, and UNISOL Group employees. To facilitate dialogue with our stakeholders, we will be sharing the UNISOL Group’s approaches and the outcomes of our initiatives on this website. We sincerely hope you will continue to generously enter into and support our activities going forward.
